[TV shows] TV shows that I watched

Here is a list of TV shows that I have seen. The followings are my personally opinions. Take with a grain of salt.

1. Friends
I watched over and over again back then. It's entertaining.

2. The Big Bang Theory
Very entertaining, it's a sitcom and it's not about dumb people...

3. Modern Family
It's quite entertaining. But there is not much storyline so I can stop at any time.

4.  House
Sometimes it gets ridiculous but most times I love this show.

5. Sex And The City
I like the show. Each episode has something new to talk about. The movies have very low scores though. Maybe the ladies are too old to be sexy...

6.  Lost
I just started to watch it. It wasn't the type I normally would like to watch. The storytelling is slow but still entertaining enough.

7. The Walking Dead
A zombies show with a good storyline. It's all about survival. It's quite entertaining.

8. Supernatural
Best Thriller/Horror TV show. I like the characters very much.

 9. True Blood

I like this show very much. This is the only vampire show I have seen that is not for teenagers.

10 Weeds
Watching a spoiled woman gets her way every time, is very entertaining.

10. Dexter
This show is a little slow, yet the story and character are very interesting. But after the show stops following the writing, it goes downhill. I am still watching it.

11. Battlestar Galactica
The most popular Sci Fi. It's very good. It's more about storyline than any of the characters. Anyone gets a chance to shine if they are good, for example, number 6.

 12. Firefly

This show stopped early, but it is a very good sci fi.

13. Grey's Anatomy

It gets boring too. Too much drama and it fells into a patten. I may try to pick it up again when I am bored.

14. Desperate Housewives
This show is hard to keep watching. I have stopped twice, and I may pick it up again when I am bored.

15. NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service
A spin-off from JAG (never heard of it). It's quite entertaining. It's fast paced but not too fast, so it's still relaxing to watch.

 16. Bones
For some reason, the interaction between the two main characters and their acting irritate me. I may try to watch it again when I am bored.

17. Gossip Girl
It's popular to watch but just their clothes. The show itself is exhausting to follow. I may revisit when I am bored.

18. The Vampire Diaries
It's a vampire show for teens. I stopped once, but I am watching it again because I have time.

 19. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
It's an older show, but it was the first vampire show that made into mainstream. The love story is the highlight. It's rare to see the main actress changes who she love and therefore who is the next main actor. I think True Blood is going to do the same.

20. Angel
Angel is a spin-off from the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I watched it because some of the story is missing from Buffy and I like to look at Spike.

 21.  Moonlight
A vampire lands work as a private investigator and falls for mortal woman (which is not very original). It stopped after first season. I watched 2 episodes, and I may try to finish the season.

22. Merlin
It is a British fantasy-adventure show. It's not bad.

22. Heroes
It gets boring. I have stopped watching it.

23. Glee
It's fun to watch one season, not more. It gets repetitive...maybe good for music fans.

23. Ugly Betty

This show get boring super fast, right about starting of season 2.

24. The Sopranos
I tried one season. It's slow and it's arty. It's not for me.

25. The O.C
I have to stop watching it in the middle of season 1. It's too boring.

[movie] Animation movies that are alike

I love animation movies. However, in several occasions, upon first seeing the trailer of an animation movie, I felt" what? not another one? wasn't there a similar one already??"

1. ants.
Antz
vs. A Bug's Life (1998)

2. ancient 2000
The Road to El Dorado versus The Emperor's New Groove

3. monster
Shrek vs. Monsters, Inc. 2001

4.
fish,
shark
Finding Nemo vs. Shark Tale 2003/2004

5. zoo lion

madagascar vs. the Wild 2005/2006

6
. penguins
Happy Feet
vs. Surf's Up (2006/7)

7. wild animal eating human food

Over the Hedge
vs. open season 2006

8. mouse

Flushed Away vs. Ratatouille 2006/2007

Some even says, thankfully, I think Flushed Away was the last time Dreamworks tried to beat Pixar to their animal gimmick. Kung Fu Panda was really, really good, so hopefully they've found their own mouse to follow.

"in To Infinity and Beyond, the history of Pixar (fantastic book, highly recommended) and it's not said straight out but heavily implied that Antz came about because Dreamworks wanted to steal Pixar's thunder and already knew that Bug's Life was in the works. The book says that Dreamworks promised Pixar that Antz would not release until after Bug's Life, but then released it before. "

You can call it a rip-off, or a duel, either way, I feel that it's just a lack of imagination.

[TV /movie/ books] What about witch and wizard?

I started reading Joanne Rowling's Harry Potter in 2000. And I finished reading all her seven books in 2008. As a rule of book fans, we hate Harry Potter movies but we have to watch them all. Yes, the movies removed too many important details but they are easy to follow for people who haven't read the books.

Another witch movie that I love is Kiki's Delivery Service (魔女の宅急便, a 1989 Japanese animated film produced, written, and directed by Hayao Miyazaki 宮崎 駿) - I know he is famous for his Spirited Away, (winner of Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, 2002) in western world, but I like Kiki better (btw, Kiki's black cat, is in Animal Crossing games, named Kiki).

And I loved the most, from his work, is Howl's Moving Castle (nominee of Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, 2005). Howl is a wizard, and Sophie and Howl's love is so beautiful.

[TV shows] are you into vampires?

I started to find vampire stories interesting when I first read " Interview with the Vampire" ( by Anne Rice written in 1973 and published in 1976). Later years a fetish about vampire started in manga community. Several years later, vampires come back in fashion in Hollywood too.

I watched Twilight of course. It was.. fine...(I also watched 'Vampires Suck', a twilight mocking movie - the actress is pretty good at imitate Bella, ROFL) Red Riding Hood (2011) is also somewhat similar - the hero have the same hair style as Edward - I actually enjoyed watching this movie.

What I find is good, is "True blood". It seems more realistic, not so much about Cinderella and Prince Charming, or a princess and a frog.

Vampire Diaries, again, teen shows...but yeah..I am watching it...

Just to complete my prospective, I even finished watching "Buffy, the vampire slayer" and "Angel". There's so many flawed details in story telling, let alone graphics. But the general storyline is pretty good.
